MGM’s International Distribution and Acquisitions division announced that MGM’s on-demand subscription service is now available through Claro Video in Latin America.
The six-part drama, based on Guillaume Musso’s bestselling French novel is produced by Make It Happen Studio and co-produced with the European Alliance, with MGM serving as its presenter and distributor.
While the FTC un the United States had not issued any statement, today’s confirmation from Amazon and MGM indicates the authority did not decide to move forward with any challenge.
The European Commission said the deal would not pose competition concerns in Europe. The $8.5bn acquisition is now waiting for approval by the US Federal Trade Commission, representing Amazon’s second biggest-ever deal.
