"Ages of Ice" will be broadcast in the US on ABC TV and ABC iview in 2026. The series is co-commissioned by the ABC and PBS from US, produced by Northern Pictures, with production investment from Screen Australia in association with Screen NSW, and produced in association with and distributed internationally by ITV Studios.

Screen Australia's new research program highlights a steadfast commitment to Australian storytelling, despite ongoing challenges such as reduced international investment, economic volatility, and the strain on children’s content production.

These funds add to the over $85 million across all 57 funding programs that Screen Australia invested for the 2023/24 financial year.

The programs, three animations and one live action hybrid are all original titles and will be highlights of the ABC’s Children’s content slate in 2025 and beyond. They will be part of the offerings for 2025 and 2026.

The initiative offers workshops, masterclasses, and funding opportunities to guide participants in crafting innovative children’s content. Applications open September 19.
