Co-written by Costner and Jon Baird ("The Explorers Guild"), and produced through his Territory Pictures, the films, from New Line Cinema, cover the Civil War expansion and settlement of the American West. "Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter One" will also be screened on the same day after the film received a 10-minute standing ovation in Cannes in May.

It's a co-production of Kevin Costner's Territory Pictures, Morgan Freeman and Lori McCreary's Revelations Entertainment and Big Dreams Entertainment.
