Following its successful launch of Europe’s first immersive virtual space dedicated to the audiovisual sector in May 2022, Studio TF1 launched the “Green Studio” at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival. This unique training program offers an interactive virtual experience combining cutting-edge technology with a strong environmental commitment.

This pioneering training course places learners in a virtual film set, where they take on the role of an eco-production manager. They face real-world decisions—set design, transport, catering, accommodation, and more, that directly impact the environmental footprint of an audiovisual production.

Integrated since March 2025 into Studio TF1’s internal e-learning platform, this module is available to all employees across the group. It reinforces Studio TF1’s long-term commitment to driving the ecological transition in the audiovisual industry.

The project was initiated by Studio TF1’s innovation and CSR teams, in collaboration with immersive tech specialist Manzalab, and supported by Ecoprod and Creative Europe Media.

Following this first successful rollout, Studio TF1 plans to develop multi-language versions of the platform to meet the needs of the international audiovisual market, and aims to expand access to other companies and training organizations within the sector. Marianne Carpentier, Director of Innovation at the company said: “Our teams are based across France and around the world, so using an immersive space to introduce eco-production practices in a fun and effective way, and leveraging AI to make the tool multilingual, gives us real agility and scalability.”
