ALEX MARIN STEPS DOWN FROM HIS ROLE AT SONY PICTURES TELEVISION

The EVP of Networks and Distribution for Latin America, Canada and US Hispanic will be leaving the company in early August “to take some time to evaluate his next professional chapter”.

After more than 20 years with Sony Pictures Television, Alex Marin will be stepping down from his role as EVP of Networks and Distribution for Latin America, Canada and US Hispanic in early August. According to the company, Marin has decided to take some time to evaluate his next professional chapter, a decision that Sony supported.

Marin has been a prominent member of the SPT distribution, sales and networks groups, consistently growing the company’s various businesses and bringing a wealth of experience and passion to the organization. Over the course of his tenure, the executive has held various roles in Mexico City, London and Miami.

“His spirited attitude and commitment to Sony Pictures will leave an indelible mark on our group for many years to come and I want to offer my sincerest thanks for his leadership and dedication,”  said Keith Le Goy, President of Distribution & Networks at Sony Pictures Entertainment, in an internal memo to employees.
