All3media secures global deals for Optomen’s "The Kardashians: A Billion Dollar Dynasty"

The two-part specialty celebrity documentary has been acquired in three continents following the first round of sales.

All3Media International has announced Optomen’s two-part series "The Kardashians: A Billion Dollar Dynasty" has been acquired in three continents following the first round of sales for the specialty celebrity documentary. “The Kardashians are one of the most identifiable brands in the world so we are thrilled to be able to deliver a series with such impressive global appeal to clients across three continents," Rachel Job, SVP Non-Scripted at All3Media International said. "Optomen’s speciality doc presents an illuminating and refreshingly unbiased take on the Kardashian’s, that will provide our clients with fascinating new insight and nostalgic entertainment.” 

Following its international premiere earlier this year, Optomen’s speciality series has been acquired by NBCUniversal, where it will premiere for US audiences on its cable network E! on 1 May.  European buyers have flocked to acquire the series, which has now been licensed in a pan territory deal for Scandinavia with TV4, covering SVOD and Free TV rights. The series will air on C More who has taken SVOD rights in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland, whilst Free TV rights have been acquired by TV4 in Sweden and in Finland on MTV. Additionally co-exclusive SVOD rights have been signed by TV2 in Denmark, Movistar+  has licensed the series in Spain, RTL will air the series in The Netherlands and DPG has taken the series for Belgium. 

Australian viewers will be able to watch the specialty documentary through a deal with Nine Network, while in New Zealand the two-part documentary will launch on Discovery. Premiering on Channel 4 earlier this year, "The Kardashians: A Billion Dollar Dynasty" lifts the lid on the remarkable story of how The Kardashians worked to exploit every potential setback and turn these into money-making opportunities.   

The title details the journey of The Kardashians,  one of the most influential families of the 21st Century, with combined social media following of two billion on Instagram and Twitter. The speciality series presents a perpsective of how they became one of the world’s most popular  brands, changed the face of social media and achieved stratospheric wealth, with exclusive contributors including "The Hills" reality TV Stars Heidi and Spencer Pratt, former People Magazine editor-in-chief Larry Hacket, and E! co-founder Larry Namer, amongst a raft of other journalists, TV Executives and the Kardashian’s former manager.
