All3Media signs deals to launch the CBS version of "Lingo" in Canada

"Lingo" is set to premier in Canada on 11th January on Bell Media owned channel CTV, while "The Traitors US" is scheduled to debut on the BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

All3Media International recently announced that Bell Media has acquired the CBS adaptation of "Lingo." Simulcasting with CBS’s launch in the U.S, the new gameshow is scheduled to premier in Canada on 11th January on Bell Media owned channel CTV. In addition, the company has secured a deal with BBC to debut "The Traitors US" on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

"Lingo" has been sold in more than 17 territories by All3Media International, with versions of the hit show produced in major markets, including Italy, Spain, the Netherlands and France, where the format has aired for 29 years in France. More recently the series returned to the U.K. on ITV in February 2021, where it launched as the highest-rated game show in its time period in nearly two decades. Following this success, ITV is now on its third season and premiered a celebrity version, also hosted by RuPaul Charles. The format has also inspired a Lingo book, Lingo boardgame, Facebook game and app all available. 

Hosted by Emmy Award winner RuPaul Charles, this international hit format is the definitive word play gameshow, which pits teams against each other in a battle to find words and win cash. RuPaul Charles serves as host and executive producer of the U.S version of the game show for RuCo, Inc. along with Layla Smith for Objective Media Group (an All3Media company), Jilly Pearce for Objective Media Group America and Ed de Burgh for Triple Brew Media. Lingo is an All3Media / IDTV and Talpa TV format, distributed by All3Media International.

The UK version of the title has been streamed over 28 million times on BBC iPlayer to date and continues to grow. The ten-part series is produced by Studio Lambert’s Stephen Lambert, Mike Cotton, Toni Ireland, Jack Burgess, Tim Harcourt and Sam Rees Jones with Sharon Vuong, EVP Entertainment Unscripted Development overseeing for NBCUniversal. The original (Dutch) version was created by Marc Pos, developed by All3Media’s IDTV & RTL Creative Unit and produced by IDTV.
