Spanish animation studio Ánima Kitchent has signed a two-year distribution agreement with Turkey’s Fauna Entertainment to expand the reach of its preschool franchise "Cuquín" in the Turkish market. Under the new deal, Fauna Entertainment will manage the official Turkish-language YouTube channel, introducing the brand to a new audience of young viewers in the region.
Miguel Aldasoro, International Sales and Co-production Director at Ánima Kitchent, said: “We are very excited to strengthen our presence in Turkey through this new partnership with Fauna Entertainment. It’s the first time ‘Cleo & Cuquín’ will have a dedicated YouTube channel in the market, and we have full confidence in Fauna’s expertise to help our content thrive and reach even more families. Turkey is a key territory for us, and we can’t wait to see how kids there connect with Cuquín’s playful and curious world.”
Emre Aksoy, Chief Business Officer at Fauna Entertainment, added: “We are thrilled to partner with Ánima Kitchent to bring another global show to the Turkish market. ‘Cleo & Cuquín’ is an adorable show that with no doubt will resonate very well with Turkish kids.”
The partnership includes the launch of Seasons 1 and 2 of the hit animated series "Cleo & Cuquín," as well as 20 musical videos from the successful "Cuquín: Musical Videos" collection. All content will be fully dubbed into Turkish, marking the first time the brand will have a dedicated channel in the territory.
Inspired by the classic 1960s Spanish property "The Telerin Family," the "Cleo & Cuquín" animated series launched in 2018 with a 78-episode run of 7-minute segments. It quickly became the top preschool show in Mexico, Spain, and several Latin American countries upon its television premiere. Its popularity has continued to grow on YouTube, where songs and episodes featuring Cuquín have garnered millions of views.
Building on this momentum, Ánima Kitchent has developed additional digital content, including a new Cuquín adventure comedy spin-off featuring new characters such as Clementina, Cyan, Robi the robot, Trex the dinosaur, and Ghost the rabbit. The new agreement with Fauna Entertainment further reinforces the studio’s strategy to expand the brand’s footprint in international markets through local partnerships and platform-specific programming.
