In 2022, RTBF commissioned a second season of the hit drama which is currently in development and set to air in 2024.
Walter Presents says: “Crime and politics converge in this taut, unmissable and highly addictive Belgian thriller – the series offers a very current take on the distortion of truth for personal gain and political power, this is authored Belgian television at its best.”
Laurent Boissel and Emmanuelle Guilbart, Joint-CEOs and Co-Founders at APC, said: “We are continuing to secure robust broadcast partners around the globe for this original, gripping political thriller, full of twists and turns, which resonates so much with today's world. The first season of 'Pandore' has broken ratings records, and we are sure audiences are as excited as we are for the highly-anticipated second season in 2024.”
The French-language political thriller tells the story of the conflictual relationship between a politician and an investigating judge. While the Belgian conservative party’s campaign is disrupted by a corruption investigation, the rape of a young woman brings together four very different characters: an investigating judge, a politician, an activist and a journalist. Each of them will defend their own truth.
