Noor Play, one of the biggest platforms of Arab world, announced the acquisition of ATV’s newest series “Destan”. Noor Play will broadcast the show simultaneously with Turkey in Arabic language.
The highly anticipated title from the producers of “The Ottoman” attracted foreign eyes of various TV professionals from all around the world during the last edition of Mipcom, which returned to Cannes last month after a two-year absence. “Destan’s” trailer was showcased for the very first time in Cannes, catching the attention of many buyers even before the debut of the series in Turkey.
“Destan” is the epic love between Akkız, the legendary mountain warrior girl who was orphaned by Gök Kagan Korkut Khan in the rugged steppes of Central Asia, and Gök Tegini Batuga, who was orphaned by Korkut Khan in the Gök Palace. The show is about the love of these two strange birds to achieve the impossible by making swords and their hearts into shields.
