Banijay confirmed the return of "Survivor" to Spanish television, produced for the first time by Cuarzo Producciones, part of Banijay Iberia, in collaboration with Mediaset España. The show will be hosted by Jorge Javier Vázquez, Carlos Sobera, and Sandra Barneda, with Laura Madrueño covering all the action from Honduras. In addition, an all-new companion show, "¿Quién dijo quiero ir a Supervivientes?" for Mitele PLUS, will show daily updates and all the latest news from the tribes.

Juan Ramón Gonzalo, Managing Director of Cuarzo Producciones, commented: "With this new series, we will continue to honor the themes of adventure and survival, which are key pillars of the format. But we want to place as much emphasis on the personal growth of the contestants as on the games. Cuarzo Producciones is renowned for daring casting, impeccable productions, and formats full of surprises, and we will be bringing these qualities to our first Survivor production."

Lucas Green, Chief Content Officer, Operations, Banijay, added: "'Survivor' is one of Banijay's biggest and most traveled IPs, which has enjoyed success in Spain for many years. We are delighted Cuarzo Producciones will be producing the show, bringing its unrivaled expertise at creating hugely successful, world-class entertainment to this iconic format."

Created by Charlie Parsons, "Survivor" is a Banijay-owned format. Since its original launch in 1997, it has been adapted across 50 territories. Recent successes include the current version in France, which became the country's most-watched unscripted program ever in catch-up, and the U.S.'s 45th run, which was the #3 unscripted show of the season.

The new edition for Telecinco sees 17 celebrities leap from a helicopter and battle survival in an idyllic but isolated setting off the coast of Honduras. The contestants will face over 150 challenges with a final prize of 200,000 Euros at stake – the winner of which will be ultimately decided by the show's viewers. Celebrities confirmed for the new series include Ángel Cristo Jr., Arancha del Sol, Arkano, Aurah Ruiz, Blanca Manchón, Carmen Borrego, Claudia Martínez, Gorka Ibarguren, Javier Ungría, Kike Calleja, Lorena Morlote, Mario González, Miri Pérez-Cabrero, Pedro García Aguado, Rocío Madrid, Rubén Torres and Zayra Gutiérrez.
