The BBC has acquired "Colin from Accounts." The critically acclaimed Australian romantic comedy will launch on BBC Two and iPlayer later this year. "Colin from Accounts," commissioned for the Foxtel Group in Australia, is produced by Easy Tiger Productions and CBS Studios and was acquired by the BBC from Paramount Global Content Distribution. “Colin From Accounts has already proven to be a hit with the Australian audience and critics alike, and we are thrilled to be working with our friends at the BBC to give it a home in the UK,” says Matthew Downer, Sr. Vice President, Regional TV Licensing, Paramount Global Content Distribution.

Created, written by and starring Patrick Brammall and Harriet Dyer, "Colin from Accounts" is directed by Trent O’Donnell, Matt Moore, and Madeleine Dyer and executive produced by Patrick Brammall, Harriet Dyer, Trent O’Donnell, Alison Hurbert-Burns, Brian Walsh, Rob Gibson, and Ian Collie. Helen Thomson, Emma Harvie, Genevieve Hegney, Michael Logo, and Tai Hara will also star in the series.

The eight-part series follows Ashley and Gordon, two single-sh, complex humans who are brought together by a car accident and an injured dog. The title reflects on the way flawed, funny people choose each other and are brave enough to show their true self, scars and all, as they navigate life together.“Laugh-out-loud funny, warm, and so relatable, Colin From Accounts is simply pure enjoyment from beginning to end," Sue Deeks, Head of BBC Program Acquisition, said.
