Beta Film has once again teamed up with the Norwegian production company Fenomen for their latest yaoung adult series, "Rebound". After the great success of previous collaborations, including the multi-award-winning drama series "Rod Knock" and festival favorite "Saving the Fucking Planet", Beta Film joins the young adult drama as its international distributor.

The 10-episode short form series "Rebound", set entirely in the main character’s bedroom, provides an intimate glimpse into the emotional roller-coaster that is love, heartbreak, and self-discovery in your mid-twenties. Produced for the Norwegian streaming platform "Null47", "Rebound" is a stand-out part of their well-curated and exclusive line-up. The first season already aired, resulting in a doubling of its subscriber base.

The series is directed by Daniel Fahre ("Rod Knock") and stars "Rod Knock" alum Mathilde Storm ("Let the River Flow", Netflix’s "One Day"), Björn Mosten (Netflix's "Love and Anarchy") alongside Arjan Nilsen ("Wisting") and Oddgeir Thune ("Wisting", Netflix's "Home for Christmas").

"Rebound" follows heartbroken Alex (Mathilde Storm). Back home from a five-week holiday in Bali, she is excited to reunite with her boyfriend Mikkel (Arjan Nilsen). With their relationship on a “break,” Alex is hopeful that they’ll pick things up again. Instead, he dumps her – while they are having sex! Her best friend Sara (Maria Wiik) has only one piece of advice: 'Go out on dates, it’s time for a rebound.' But while Alex is interested in a guy she meets at her flat party, Lucas (Björn Mosten), he is not ready for a relationship. And on top of that, Alex still has hopes of getting back together with Mikkel. As she goes on the dating apps, Alex falls into a cycle of hooking up with random strangers while neglecting her own emotional needs. Now, she must figure out her new life and start dealing with the scary feeling of being alone. Maybe it’s not so much about being with someone, but about finding a way to love yourself?
