The series tells the life story of the Argentinian-born Dutch Queen Máxima. It is based on the book "Máxima Zorreguieta: Motherland" by Marcia Luyten, published by De Bezige Bij.
The company picked up international distribution rights to the edgy thriller series “Homejacking” by Lupin-scriptwriter Tigran Rosine. The series will celebrate its premiere on March 21 in Series Mania’s French Competition section.
The six-hour drama by Millstreet Films, depicting the life of Argentinian born Máxima Zorreguieta, who later became Queen Máxima of the Netherlands, will premiere on RTL Netherland’s OTT service Videoland on 20 April 2024.
The show is being produced in Belgium before moving to York later this spring. Beta Film will distribute it worldwide, and PBS Distribution holds the North American rights to the series.
