Blue Ant Media launches new fast channel, Love Pets

The channel featuring animal-related stories will join Blue Ant Media’s catalog of FAST channels, which includes Love Nature, Total Crime, HauntTV, Homeful, and HistoryTime, among others.

Blue Ant Media recently unveiled details about the launch of its free, advertising-supported streaming TV (FAST) channel, Love Pets. Love Pets debuted on Sling Freestream across the U.S. and will be rolling out on additional streaming platforms in the coming months. "Love Pets'will offer Sling Freestream’s audiences heartwarming animal and pet stories they’ll love and can’t find anywhere else,” says Jamie Schouela, President, Global Channels & Media, Blue Ant Media. “The brand is the latest addition to our portfolio of free streaming channels that offer exclusive programming line-ups of curated, genre-focused content.”

The new pet-themed channel features animal-related stories, and the devotion of the people who care for them. It will join Blue Ant Media’s catalog of FAST channels, which includes Love Nature, Total Crime, HauntTV, Homeful, and HistoryTime, all of which are also available on Sling Freestream, with the Drag Race Universe channel launching soon. "Blue Ant Media’s suite of FAST (free, ad-supported streaming TV) channels offer audiences curated programming that is easy and free to access on growing platforms like Tubi, Freevee, VIZIO WatchFree+, The Roku Channel, Xumo, Samsung TV Plus, VIX, PlutoTV and Sling Freestreaming," the company states.

Love Pets' programming highlights include "The Shelter: Animal SOS," a six-part titles that takes a look inside Dublin’s legacy animal shelter, the DSPCA, which battles everyday to rescue and rehabilitate the regions sick and injured animals. The channel will also offer "Pick-a-Puppy," which follows families as they visit breeders and animal shelters in search of the perfect canine companion and along the way, learn as much about themselves as the puppies they are meeting. The title will stand alongisde "Hope For Wildlife," a look at a dedicated wildlife rescue team, led by Hope Swinimer, who rescue thousands of sick, injured and lost animals and return them to their natural habitats.

The channel will also offer "ER Vets," which follows a group of veterinarians as they tend to animals at a 24/7 trauma centre, dealing with life-and-death dilemmas on a daily basis and find the time to offer comfort to the animals' owners, "Unstable," an emotional journey with professional horseback rider Allie, business manager Tammy and 12-year-old daughter Alex, along with barn manager Megan, as they pursue their vision of building a world-class show barn, "The Bizarre Pet Vets," starring beloved vet Dr James and his team treat the most bizarre and beloved animals in Australia, and "Work on the Wild Side," a documentary series following the highs and lows of vets and volunteers who have given up their day jobs in the UK to move to South Africa to help rescue, rehabilitate and release back into the wild iconic animals.
