Bomanbridge Media has secured a raft of sales for a range of its kids programming. Following the successful launch of season 1 earlier this year, Japanese public broadcaster, NHK, has confirmed seasons 2 & 3 of Sinking Ship’s award-winning series "Dino Dana" (26x30’), dominating the Sunday evening timeslot, while Indonesia’s Mentari TV also acquired "Dino Dana" seasons 1-4 (52x30’) alongside "Shimajiro" (190x8’), the animated series about a curious tiger boy from Japan’s Benesse Corporation. Shimajiro was created in 1988 and is one of Japan’s most popular characters in pre-school education. The original 2-D series has been airing for more than 30 years in Japan, with 40 new episodes produced every year. Recently, Shimajiro revealed a 3-D version with 50 new episodes added every year.
In Hong Kong, PCCW also secured "Dino Dana" seasons 1 & 2 as well as the Movie, in a package that also includes "Toad & Friends" (52x11’) and "Cloudbabies" (52x10’) both from Hoho Entertainment, in addition to globally successful preschool series "Odo" Season 1 (52x7’) from Sixteen South’s and lastly, "Treehouse Detectives" (40x11’) from Sunwoo, produced for Netflix.
Newly launched "Toad and Fiends" from Hoho Entertainment was also picked up by Good TV for Taiwan and the Philippines, while "Odo" will now also fly into Thailand where it will delight True Visions’ young viewers.
Staying in Thailand, Bomanbridge brings to TPBS’ audience seasons 3 & 4 of "Paw Patrol" (52x30’), Paramount’s globally successful CG action-adventure, produced by Spin Master Entertainment.
CNN in the Philippines has acquired the 20-part series "Box Ideas" from Earth Tree, which inspires children to upcycle cardboard, as well as adventure series "The World is Yours" (52x30’) and the Animal Kingdom talkshow "Human Nature" (52x30'), both from Sabbatical Entertainment.
Rounding off these Asian children’s sales is Malaysia’s Media Prima, which acquired "Booba’s Adventures" (78x5’), following its recent success on Netflix.
