Miami-based production company BTF Media announced new appointments and promotions to expand its management team and position in Spanish-speaking markets. In detail, company founders Ricardo Coeto and Francisco Cordero will now serve as co-CEOs, with Cordero leading business affairs and Coeto in charge of creative affairs.

Moreover, the company has appointed industry veteran Yoselín Pérez Valdez as SVP of Sales. In her new position, she will head up BTF’s front office, helping secure new deals with clients. Pérez Valdez has more than 20 years of experience within the advertising and sales industry.

Meanwhile, Ivonne Vela, former CMS Manager at BTF, has been promoted to SVP of Business Affairs. Vela will oversee the operations of the management and back office team, as well as working with future stakeholders and managing projects.

In further moves, Marco Forte, who previously oversaw the Mexican production office, has been promoted to SVP of New Ventures, overseeing new business opportunities. Forte will also lead the application of policies and procedures based on a recent ISO certificate received by BTF from the International Organization for Standardization, which endorses company structures and business practices.

At the same time, Verónica Álvarez and Sergio Lazarov, who both have a strong background in unscripted productions for Mexico and the United States, will continue to lead this type of output in BTF as joint VPs of Unscripted Content, with Álvarez overseeing Mexico and Lazarov the United States.

BTF has also reinforced its creative team expanding its coterie of in-house writers, showrunners, and executive producers. This includes Ivonne Niño, Fides Velasco, Rafa Lara, and Héctor Valdez. Appointments for two further roles are expected to be announced soon.

“We are very proud to announce the new leadership for the company. They all bring a remarkable value, experience and passion to our BTF family,”  Coeto said. “This new structure will allow us to be more competitive within the industry, not only from a corporate and organizational approach, but also from creative and business, in order to leverage our positioning,” Cordero added.
