Ellipse Animation has been selected by Cartoon Forum to present its new brand project "Lost in the Future," adapted from the comic book “Lost in the Future” published by Editions Dupuis. This comedy for kids 6-10 years old will be pitched by: Cédric Frémeaux, director, Marianne Barbier, literary author, Audrey Serre, artistic producer of the project and Lila Hannou, VP creative Development and Strategy at Ellipse Animation on September 18 at 10:45 in the Blue Room.

“At Ellipse Animation we focus on highlighting diverse projects that appeal to all types of young audiences,” said Lila Hannou, VP creative Development and Strategy. “After ‘Dreamland’ and ‘Trotro et Zaza’ in 2022, and ‘Komodo No Chill’ in 2023, we are delighted to be back at Cartoon this year with an offbeat comedy.”

“‘Lost in the Future’ is a timeless parenthesis that cleverly avoids preconceived ideas. It gives us an amusing and positive take on the world of tomorrow. Colourful characters in a fun, offbeat world invite us to care for others, observe the world around us and take the time to enjoy life without forgetting the need to have fun," said Audrey Serre, the show’s artistic producer.

The story follows Mei, Sara, Driss, Arnold and Piero, who find themselves thrown into an unexpected future… A future where humankind has abandoned technology to give nature its rightful place. They’re welcomed in a surprising village, deep in the heart of a jungle full of weird and wild creatures. Who would have guessed that riding a giant slug would become commonplace; or that ''snake-vine'' slime could be used as a powerful sleeping pill? Far removed from everyday comforts, the five spirited and strong-tempered personalities are about to be tested by an unending series of unpredictable adventures. They'll discover the best parts of themselves – and others – and above all figure out how to survive and live together.
