"CLUB 57" PREMIERES IN PORTUGAL ON BIGGS TO DELIVERS TOP HIT IN THE MARKET

The fictional youth series is the creation of screenwriter Catharina Ledoboer, who has written multiple hits for Nickelodeon including Every Witch Way (4 seasons), WITS Academy and Talia in the Kitchen; and three successful seasons of Grachi, Nickelodeon's adaptation of the Latin American youth novel.

"Club 57", a co-production of Viacom International Studios and Rainbow Group had a successful premiere in Portugal on the Biggs channel, via the children's media and entertainment chain, Dreamia. Susana Margarida Gomes, Channel Manager from Biggs, said: “Let’s dance as if we were in 1957, to celebrate this huge success! We are very happy with Club 57 on Biggs. The feedback from our Biggers has been amazing and this show has became an enormous hit on our channel. It immediately became one of our top shows reaching #2 after only two weeks on the air, and continues to maintain this top position. This show has amazingly reached over 80,000 (approx.) viewers on some episodes, and is one of the TOP 25 PAY-TV shows in Portugal. We are really looking forward to additional seasons and more adventures.”

Club 57 follows the adventures of Eva and her brother Rubén, who accidentally transport themselves in 1957. The duo tries everything possible to return home, but in the process, Eva falls in love with JJ and decides to stay in the past, triggering a butterfly effect that changes their lives for the worse not better. With a mix of music, dance and time travel adventures, Eva must now figure out how to return to the present without giving up her first love.

The musical series features an international cast headed by Evaluna Montaner (Eva), Riccardo Frascari (JJ), Sebastián Silva (Rubén), Martin Barba (Aurek), Isabella Castillo (Amelia), Ángela Rincón (Sofía), Carolina Mestrovic (Vero) and Andrés Mercado (Manuel), among others.
