Corus acquires ABC Commercial’s new “Wiggles” content

Corus Entertainment's ABC Commercial has completed an expanded three-year agreement for over 30 hours of fresh pre-school programming from, "The Wiggles." "ABC Commercial has a long-standing and trusted relationship with Corus Entertainment,"  Jessica Ellis, Head of Content Sales & Distribution, ABC Commercial said. "The Wiggles have had tremendous success in Canada since 2012, engaging preschool audiences with their many hours of fun, entertaining and educational shows. We're looking forward to bringing this fabulous new Wiggles content to Treehouse audiences over the next three years."

The agreement will give Corus exclusive broadcast rights on their pre-school cable television channel Treehouse for a collection of recently released content from "The Wiggles'" television catalog, including brand new seasons of premier television series "Ready, Steady, Wiggle!" and of "Emma!" along with the premiere of two new specials: Fun and Games! and Choo Choo Trains, Propeller Planes and Toot Toot Chugga Chugga Big Red Car!" "Canadians absolutely adore The Wiggles and Corus is proud to continue to be the exclusive home of The Wiggles in Canada," said Daniel Eves, SVP of TV Networks, Corus Entertainment. On Treehouse, the new third season of "Emma!" is set to premiere on Sunday 7th November 2021 at 1:25 p.m. ET. The Wiggles' World and Seasons l & 2 of "Ready, Steady, Wiggle!" air weekdays at 1:25 p.m. ET, "Wiggle, Wiggle, Wiggle" airs weekdays at 6:00 a.m. ET, and Seasons l & 2 of Emma! air on Sundays at 1:25 p.m. ET and weekdays at 6:25 a.m. ET. Ready, Steady, Wiggle! Season 3 can be accessed at 1:25  p.m ET weekdays  and  Live from Hot Potato Studios airs every Saturday at 1:25 p.m. ET.

Corus will showcase various specials from The Wiggles' catalogue, including Wiggly Halloween Party, Rock & Roll Preschool, Wiggle Pop! and The Wiggles' Party Time- all of which will broadcast on the company's Treehouse cable TV channel and on STACKTV, Corus' streaming service available through Amazon Prime Video Channels."We are thrilled to be bringing even more of The Wiggles  iconic entertainment to families across Canada," said founding member Anthony Field AM.
