Eccho Rights have licensed the O3 Medya-produced, Turkish drama series "I Am Mother" to broadcasters throughout the Spanish-speaking world. Caracol (Colombia), Canal 13 (Chile) and TVN (Panama) have all picked up the series in Latin America, while a deal has also been struck with a leading broadcaster in Spain.

These add to the growing list of international broadcasters for "I Am Mother", including earlier agreements with Achla TV in Israel, Kanal 5 in North Macedonia and MBC in the MENA region.

"We are thrilled to see 'I Am Mother' gaining ground in LATAM – we now have the series dubbed into Spanish and are seeing the interest for the title grow rapidly across the region. The powerful narrative and strong performances in 'I Am Mother' have resonated deeply with audiences in Turkey and are now taking off around the world!" says Handan Özkubat, Director of Turkish Drama at Eccho Rights.

NEW SEASON
"I Am Mother" returned for its second season earlier this autumn. The renewal followed the series' success and the continued demand for high-quality Turkish dramas globally. Joining leading cast members Özge Özpirinçci and Demet Akbağ for the second season are world renowned Turkish actors Engin Öztürk ("My Home My Destiny") and Nesrin Cavadzade ("My Wonderful Life").

"I Am Mother" follows Karsu (Özpirinçci), a woman in an unhappy marriage. Her husband Reha, is an abusive man and useless father, so when Karsu gives birth to their third child, she realizes that she can’t take care of all the children on her own. She sends her three year old son, Kuzey, to Istanbul to stay with her Mother Filiz (Akbağ) for a while. However, on the journey to Istanbul Kuzey goes missing. After three years of searching Karsu happens upon Kuzey on a trip to Mersin. Karsu is relieved to be reunited with her son, however, Kuzey who now goes by Deniz does not recognise her. Karsu will have to fight to win her son back, whilst dealing with her challenging family situation.
