Eccho Rights has completed a deal with Spanish media group Atresmedia for Turkish Drama series “Legacy”. This is the latest Turkish drama acquisition for the broadcast group, which has enjoyed enormous success with Turkish series on both thematic channel Nova and on flagship free-to-air channel Antena 3.

“Legacy” is a daily series for Kanal 7 in Turkey, produced by Karamel Yapim, which recently concluded its first season of 281x45’ episodes. A second season has been commissioned, due to start in September 2021.

“Spain has really taken to Turkish Drama in the past few years and audiences recognize the strength of writing, acting and production which make these some of the most successful imports we see anywhere on Spanish TV at the moment,”  said Barbora Suster, Head of Latin America and Iberia from Eccho Rights’ Madrid office.

“Legacy” is the story of little Yusuf and his aunt Seher, who finds herself fighting to foster the boy after he is orphaned. Seher faces resistance from Yusuf's late father’s family but encounters an unexpected romance as emotions rise in the battle to protect her family’s legacy.
