Electric Entertainment, the Los Angeles based production and distribution company, has acquired the exclusive North American distribution rights to the science-fiction horror film “The Bunker” from Jackrabbit Media. The deal gives Electric all rights in all media in the U.S. and Canada, excluding ship and airline rights. The announcement was made by Dean Devlin, CEO of Electric Entertainment.

Dean Devlin comments, “‘The Bunker’ fits seamlessly into Electric’s repertoire of films. It combines alien-induced sci-fi elements with a compelling horror twist. Fans of these genres will surely find this engaging and thrilling movie enjoyable.”

Mark Padilla, President of Worldwide Sales and Acquisitions at Jackrabbit Media continues, "We are thrilled to be working with Dean Devlin and his incredible team at Electric Entertainment. Their excellence in producing and distributing engaging TV series and films in this genre makes them the ideal partner for the release of The Bunker."

Directed by Brian Hanson (“The Black String”), “The Bunker” had its world premiere last August 2024 at the Popcorn Frights Film Festival. The film follows Dr. Michelle Riley, a rookie scientist that is sealed in an underground, top-secret bunker where she and a team of researchers are tasked with creating a bio-weapon capable of stopping a mysterious alien invasion. But paranoia and isolation start to infiltrate the psyches of the team, causing Riley to question the true intention of her mission. The film stars the late Tony Todd (“Final Destination: Bloodlines,” “Candyman” [1992]) Tobin Bell (“Saw,” “The Curse of the Clown Motel”), Chad Michael Collins (“Sniper: Rouge Mission,” “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II”), and Chelsea Edmundson (“Army of the Dead,” “The Iron Claw”) as Dr. Michelle Riley.

The deal was negotiated by Addie Booth, Coordinator of International Sales & Acquisitions at Electric Entertainment and Mark Padilla, President of Worldwide Sales and Acquisitions at Jackrabbit Media.
