Endemol Shine Group announced that Endemol Shine Brazil have partnered with Brahma and VillaMix for a second run of Endemol Shine format "Best.Cover.Ever" ('O Próximo Número 1 VillaMix'). The project was secured in partnership with Google, Africa Agency and Draftline.
Hosted by Mariana Rios and Luan Santana, the program seeks to find Brazil’s new sertanejo star. The first season was broadcast in 2019 on the VillaMix Festival YouTube channel and produced in the YouTube Space. It received entries from singers from all regions of Brazil, generating over 100 million views on the platform, and winning the 2019 Content Innovation Award for Branded Content of The Year.
“The first season of the reality show was a huge success and Brahma, who have always been supporters of this music in Brazil, continues the search for new talents in the country to continue the growth of this musical style, which draws crowds wherever it goes”, says Maria Rachel, Brahma's marketing manager.

With six episodes, this year's season has the great addition of actress and singer Mariana Rios alongside Luan Santana, who alongside being host will bring all his musical experience to assist the participants. For the grand finale, the winners of each episode will have the opportunity to perform at VillaMix Goiânia, where the ultimate champion of season two will be defined.

The "Best.Cover.Ever" format was originally created by Endemol Shine North America, The U.S. version was a YouTube original series produced by Ryan Seacrest Productions, Endemol Shine North America and Columbia Records. The 10-episode show featured a stellar line-up of music stars including Katy Perry, Demi Lovato, Keith Urban, Backstreet Boys, Charlie Puth, Flo Rida and Jason Derulo. The series was hosted by hip-hop star and actor Ludacris.
