This European autumn, the German broadcaster Sat1 will premiere "Pretty in Plüsch" (I Got You Babe), an in-house development by Endemol Shine Germany which is produced live in Cologne.
“I Got You Babe” is a brand-new entertainment format that sees unique and quirky puppet characters sing in a duet with celebrities. Six plush characters with powerful voices take on the celebrities and face the challenge of captivating the audience with fantastic performances week after week.
The duets are judged by a three-person jury. At the end of each episode, the viewers decide which duet has to leave the competition and thus choose the best duet as the winner of “I Got You Babe” in the finale.
“As funny and cute as some doll characters may look, they all take the competition seriously. And so do the jury members. I know exactly how difficult it is to perform in front of a jury. I hope that because of this I can give the duets not only a fair evaluation but also a few tips for their upcoming performances,” said German singer Sarah Lombardi, one of the juries.
