Eréndira Ibarra joined upcoming Starzplay’s dramedy series “Yellow” (working title). Mexican actress will be a series regular. “Yellow” is the first Spanish-Language Original to be available across the platform’s footprint in the U.K. and Europe, joining confirmed territories Spain and Latin America. The series will also be available on Pantaya in the US and Puerto Rico.
Ibarra will play Detective Rojo, who has always had a strange effect on others, causing cases of insecurity in those around her. She is cold, dry and obsessive. She categorizes people around her as witnesses, suspects or colleagues. A workaholic with no family or friends, the lack of distractions makes Rojo the best detective to find those responsible for the stolen artwork.

“Yellow” is the story of Dan, played by Tessa Ia, and Nico, played by Lizeth Selene, two fugitives who hijacks a stick-shift taxi to escape from the authorities after stealing a work of art. Realizing that the car is not automatic, they are forced to kidnap Richie, played by Martín Saracho, the taxi driver who also happens to be a suicidal ex-Formula 1 racer. Constantly having to thwart his suicide attempts, the three reach an agreement: if he takes them to the border, they will kill him.
