Filmrise promotes CFO Johnny Holden to also be Chief Strategy Officer

FilmRise, the New York City-based film and television studio and streaming network, has announced the promotion and expansion of CFO Johnny Holden’s position to Chief Strategy Officer. In this newly created position, Holden will, in addition to overseeing all financial operations for the company, work closely with FilmRise’s CEO to lean into the company’s continued growth trajectory. The announcement was made by Danny Fisher, CEO of FilmRise.

In his enhanced role, now encompassing Chief Strategy Officer in addition to his CFO duties, the exec will collaborate closely with Fisher as well as FilmRise’s executive management and department leaders to further build upon the company’s reputation in data-driven content acquisition and distribution.

Holden joined FilmRise as CFO in 2020, and since that time he has become essential in growing FilmRise to an industry-leading syndicator of FAST channels and a leading provider of content to AVOD platforms. His strategic initiatives have greatly supported the company’s growth and include refining FilmRise’s data-driven analytics processes that guide the acquisition of high-demand content as well as the robust release of FilmRise content on dozens of streaming platforms and over 400 FilmRise syndicated FAST channels worldwide. With extensive experience from previous roles at media companies, including CFO and VP of Finance at Vice TV, Johnny's overall acumen has significantly expanded FilmRise’s market presence and operational efficiency.
