Folivari announces the production launch of "Nino Dino", an original preschool CG-animated series co-produced with Belgian Academy Award Winner studio Take Five (Flow). This milestone follows the confirmation of France Télévisions as the series commissioning broadcaster and VRT as coproducing broadcaster.

“We are thrilled to welcome 'Nino Dino' to our line-up. 'Nino Dino' is a wonderfully expressive and relatable hero for preschoolers - he’s impulsive, full of emotion, and never afraid to follow his instinct. While his feelings sometimes get the better of him, the series is filled with humor, heart, and gentle life lessons that young audiences will love.” said Naléka N’guessan, Commissioning Editor for Kids Content at France Télévisions.

“'Nino Dino' is a promising animation series full of joy and happiness, with a high level of cuteness, a lot of charm and important warm values and a very high quality of animation, designs, backgrounds and characters. We are convinced that this wonderful 'Nino Dino' world will bring an added value to Ketnet Junior and we are looking forward to welcome this cute bunch of dino’s at Ketnet Junior family.” said Telidja Klai, Content Manager, Program Acquisitions & Co-Productions, Animation at VRT’s Ketnet.

SHOW’S GLOBAL APPEAL
Aimed at children aged 3 to 6, "Nino Dino" (78x7’) is based on the successful children’s book series of the same name, originally published in France by Les Éditions Milan and now available in 10 countries, including China, Spain, and Germany.

The series celebrates the boundless energy and curiosity of childhood through the adventures of an irresistibly exuberant young T-Rex. "Nino Dino" explores the world with unending enthusiasm - often testing the limits of everyday rules. Though he sees himself as big and mighty, he’s still a little dino who wouldn’t go as far without his best friends Clea, Max, Alfred, and Daisy. Together, they embark on exciting adventures where fun and learning go hand in hand!

"Nino Dino" is directed by rising French talents Aurélie Raphaël and Jeanne-Sylvette Giraud and is set for delivery in 2027, with first episodes available in mid-2026. The development of the series was also supported by Belgian broadcaster RTBF, while international broadcasters TV5 Monde and SVT (Sweden) have already come on board as pre-buy partners - a testament to the show’s global appeal.

Melissa Vega, Head of Acquisitions and International Sales at Folivari International, will be attending APD, Premios Quirino and MIFA in the coming months to secure additional pre-sales for the remaining open territories. "'Nino Dino' has all the ingredients for success: an appealing design, strong character-driven storytelling, comedy, and heartfelt moments. Dinosaur series are always a winning bet, but 'Nino Dino' goes beyond that - it’s built on a successful book IP. Plus, we are developing a transmedia and discoverability strategy to engage both existing fans and new audiences." said Vega.
