Fox Entertainment Global has appointed Matt Hanna, formerly of Sony Pictures Entertainment, as Senior Vice President of Sales for the Americas—a move designed to sharpen licensing, distribution, and monetization efforts across the U.S., Canada, and Latin America. The announcement underscores Fox’s ambition to maximize the value of its IP across linear, digital, transactional, ancillary, and emerging platform models.

In his new role, Hanna will report to Fox Entertainment Global President Prentiss Frasier. Hanna brings over 20 years of experience in content licensing, distribution, and digital strategy. At Sony, he led multi-territory and global film and television licensing deals, and held senior positions spanning U.S. TV distribution, home entertainment, and legal affairs.

Frasier emphasized the strategic importance of the hire: “Matt’s proven track record in driving sales and forging partnerships will be instrumental as we expand our programming reach across the Americas. His strategic insights, strong relationships, and passion for the industry make him an invaluable addition to our executive team.”

Hanna's new role will include maximizing revenue from both original and acquired content and optimizing Fox’s distribution infrastructure across multiple platforms.

The decision comes amid broader efforts at Fox to reinforce content monetization and global distributions. Earlier in August 2025, Fox Entertainment Global also hired Liz Tang from Fifth Season to lead content and acquisitions for the U.K.

With Hanna now leading the Americas strategy, Fox aims to deepen its presence in key growth markets by leveraging his experience and relationships to accelerate content licensing and platform partnerships.
