France tv distribution to globally distribute four new documentaries that were launched at the World Congress of Science & Factual Producers 2024: "TOBA: The volcano that changed the world" produced by French Connection Films & Fred Hilgemann Films, "Delphi Reborn: The heart of ancient mysteries" produced by TSVP, "Once upon a time the great plains" produced by Le Cinquième Rêve and "In the name of God: the ST. Bartholomew's massacre unveiled" produced by Nilaya Productions.

"TOBA: The volcano that changed the world" (90'/52') written by Éric Ellena and Marie Anne Sorba and directed by Franck Cuveillier and Éric Ellena, narrates the mega eruptions of the Toba volcano that killed many plants, animals and humans on Earth. Now, thanks to groundbreaking discoveries in volcanology, chemistry, genetics, archeology and neuroscience, a team of experts is rewriting the history of this super volcano.

"Delphi Reborn: The heart of ancient mysteries" ( 90'): Thanks to recent work carried out by archeologists, this documentary is able to provide a reconstruction of the sanctuary of Delphi in its entirety, for the first time ever. More than just an example of virtual-reality prowess, this film uses several cutting-edge technologies to establish the city’s unrivaled sphere of influence and unravel the many mysteries surrounding it. With a unique arsenal of scientific technology on its side – geology, satellite imagery, gamma spectrometry, and even music archeology – Delphi, the former “navel of the world,” is finally reborn.

"Once upon a time the great plains" (90'/52'): Today, across Montana, Wyoming, and Alberta, native American tribes have forged an unprecedented alliance to restore this iconic land to its former glory. Wildlife is returning — on a scale not seen in centuries — as nature rises from the ashes of history. Directed by the visionary and multi-award-winning filmmaker Thierry Robert, this film chronicles the epic story of one of earth’s most mythical landscapes.

"In the name of God: The ST. Bartholomew's massacre unveiled" (2x52'): Paris, August 1572. Amid a Europe torn apart by religious wars, a royal wedding brings a fleeting sense of hope: Queen Margot is Catholic, while Henri de Navarre is Protestant. But just four days later, on St. Bartholomew’s Day, the streets of Paris erupt in chaos as frenzied Catholic citizens launch a brutal massacre against their Protestant neighbors, igniting an unprecedented wave of violence across the country. A decade later, Jean, a survivor of the massacre, embarks on a quest to uncover the truth about the deaths of his father and brother. Through interviews with witnesses, participants, and those complicit in the events, he pieces together vital clues to unravel the mystery. "In the Name of God" follows Jean’s journey as an investigator, offering a fresh perspective on the chain of events that led to the deadliest massacre of the Wars of Religion in Europe.
