FRANCE TV DISTRIBUTION PRESENTS ITS STRONG LINEUP FOR SPRING

From fictional productions that have already triumphed internationally to new seasons of star shows and feel-good cartoon series, the new proposal want to captive to everyone.

France TV Distribution announces a strong and variety line up for the spring season. From big dramas to factual titles and animation series, the proposal of the French distributor heads up to multiple audiences. 

D R A M A

The company is offering “Derby Girl”, selected for 'Coming Next from France' presentation at the Series Mania Digital Forum Directed by Nikolas Lange and produced by Noon (Kabo Productions), this series (10x22') soon to be shown on france.tv slash, introduces viewers to the secrets of a still poorly-known sport: Roller Derby. Featuring brilliant performances from ‘badass’ female characters, it combines a lot of humor and girl power.

Other new drama is “Laetitia”, first French series selected in 'Indie Episodic' category at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival. Based on a real story and directed by Jean-Xavier de Lestrade, who won an Oscar for “Un coupable ideal” (“Murder on a Sunday Morning”), this drama series (6x45') produced by CPB Films and L'Ile Clavel, tells the tragic story of Laetitia and a murder investigation that rocked France to its core.

“Stalk” (10x23') selected for 'Coming Next from France' presentation at the Series Mania Digital Forum is produced by Silex Films and is currently available on france.tv slash. The series raises awareness of the dangers of using connected devices, plunging its characters into a fever of paranoia.

F A C T U A L

The factual entertainment proposal include “The Real War Of Thrones” (Season 3) broadcast last December on France 5 and produced by Pernel Media,. This third part (6x45') covers the period from 1590 to 1643.

On the other hand, in “The Ghost Of The Neolithic” a team of Swiss archeologists are on the trail of a mysterious Neolithic man (Schnidi) who died in the high Alps nearly 5,000 years ago. Found in a glacier 2,800 meters up, his clothing is remarkably well-conserved, but his body has not been discovered yet. A scientific discovery more important than that of Ötzi (a mummy found in the Dolomites) is brought to life in one episode of 90 minutes (also available in 1x52'). Produced by TSVP and broadcast on France 5.

The last factual title is “Apocalypse: Hitler Takes On The West: 1940” (2x52’) is a new  documentary produced by CC&C. Featuring previously unseen colorized archive images, the series explores the starting point of the Second World War and anticipates Hitler’s madness.

A N I M A T I O N

In animation genre TV France Distribution is presenting “Disco Dragon”, a feel-good series currently in development (52x13') produced by Mondo TV. It stars Disco and Betty, a hilarious musical duo who have decided their mission in life is to help every child find their Groove!.

Also the French distributor offers “Super Caribou”, based on the book "Jean-Michel Le Caribou" by Magali Le Huche (published by Éditions Actes Sud). The awkward, endearing central character is back in an animated series produced by Autour de Minuit (48 x 11’ + 2 specials: 2 x 22’ / 44’).

“Grosha & Mr B.” is currently being produced by La Station Animation.This animated series (52 x 11') with a very different approach is a children’s take on the detective genre and cult comedy-action films.
