Garrett Thierry
Vision Films has appointed Garrett Thierry as new Director of Global Digital Distribution and Marketing to accommodate the company's ongoing expansion into the world of Global VOD. He will work directly with CEO/Managing Director Lise Romanoff. “Vision is looking forward to Garrett sharing his impressive business knowledge and organizational skills with our established team. The world of VOD is changing so fast, it takes 'out of the box' thinking and creativity to keep up. We are confident that our extensive catalog of films, that includes new releases and our library, will benefit long-term under his guidance," she shares.
Thierry comes to Vision from Savant Artists where he was previously a partner and will lead the effort with on-going film acquisition and platform expansion. He succeeds Kristen Bedno who has been with the company for the past 3 years and who is moving on to pursue other endeavors.
NEW ACQUIREMENT
Vision Films has acquired the rights to "HONK", a unique documentary directed and produced by actress Cheryl Allison through her WOW Films. The story of Allison’s unusual friendship and love with an abandoned goose made national news and became a source of hope during an unprecedented time of isolation and loss for so many around the world during the pandemic.
Vision will release the documentary on major streaming and cable platforms in November to kick off the holiday season. Proceeds from the film will benefit Honk’s adoptive home, the Rogers Wildlife Rehabilitation Center just outside of Dallas, TX.
