Italy's Delta Star Pictures has regained international rights to the film “Joachim and the Apocalypse ("Il Monaco che vinse l’Apocalisse"). Previously managed by TVCO, the international rights have now reverted to Delta Star Pictures, which had already overseen the film’s theatrical release in Italy through partnerships with several national distributors (including The Space Cinema and others).

The film premiered in Italian theaters on December 5, 2024, and received an enthusiastic response from audiences, with screening requests continuing for up to seven months after its debut.

With new international partnerships on the horizon, Delta Star Pictures plans to bring this unique, genre-defying cinematic experience to audiences worldwide. The film speaks to the human experience as a whole, transcending cultural and genre boundaries, in line with its core message.

Delta Star Pictures’s global distribution plan for 2025–2026 includes a hybrid release strategy, combining Theatrical releases with TV channels, Streaming platforms, and Ancillary markets such as airlines and cruise ships. Following its premiere in Los Angeles, anticipation is building for the film’s UK debut, which is scheduled to take place in London during the first week of September.

A SIGNIFICANT INFLUENCE

More than just a biography, the film explores the profound ideas of its protagonist, whose influence extended far beyond his time. Joachim of Fiore not only inspired Dante Alighieri to place him in Paradise (Canto XII) as one "endowed with a prophetic spirit", but also left a lasting impact on great thinkers and artists such as Montaigne, Hegel, Joyce, and Michelangelo.

The film features American actor Nikolay Moss ("The Cobblestone Corridor") and Australian-British actor Bill Hutchens ("Kin Spirits") as well as, for the Italian cast, Francesco Turbanti ("Margini"), Elisabetta Pellini, rapper G-Max, Giancarlo Martini and Yoon C. Joyce ("Gangs of New York").
