Global Agency has confirmed that TVE has renewed the hit quiz format “Joker” for a third season of 110 episodes. The show will be broadcast on TVE from Monday to Friday at 6:25 p.m and will be presented by Aitor Albizua and Esti Gabilondo.
Spanish production company Lavinia Audiovisual has committed to contributing to the deal by producing "Joker." The title was developed by the creator of several Global Agency successful formats, such as “Blind Taste” and “Shopping Monsters."
"Joker" achieved great success in Portugal with more than 700 episodes on RTP; and France with more than 400 daily episodes on France 2. The format was initially broadcast on the Turkish public broadcaster TRT for over 100 episodes. International sales have been secured in Slovenia, Poland, Greece, USA, Middle East, Ireland, Australia and Italy.
The first two seasons of "Joker" garnered positive feedback under the local name “El Comodin”. The first season had 55 episodes and the second season had 73 episodes. The title showcases a quiz show in which contestants aim to ascend the money tree, using their store of jokers to cancel out their wrong answers and win a big cash prize.
