Globo has signed a deal with Telefuturo to bring "Land of Desire" to Paraguay. Production for the title is scheduled to premier in January. “‘Land of Desire’ premiering on Telefuturo in January is a reflection of how successful our partnership is and that makes us very happy. Latin America is a region where we are recognized for the quality of our telenovelas, so it is always important that we bring our releases to this audience," Isadora Filpi, Content Distribution and Partnerships said.
Launched for the international market during Mipcom and one of Globo's highlights for Content Americas next January, "Land of Desire" is written by Walcyr Carrasco, who won an Emmy for "Hidden Truths." The agreement also provides for the screening of "Boogie Oogie," a telenovela by Rui Vilhena and featuring Ísis Valverde and Bianca Bin in the cast; and ‘Crashing Into The Future’, by Mário Teixeira featuring Nicolas Prattes and Juliana Paiva, as well as other titles yet to be announced.
"Land Of Desire" tells the story of Aline, a young woman who sees her family wiped out due to a crime. Driven by the desire for reparation, her story intersects with the family of Antônio La Selva, divided by ambition and many secrets.
