Thema has accelerated its regional growth strategy with a wave of new launches and syndication agreements across Asia. The expansion includes the rollout of 15 FAST (Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV) channels in India via JIO, the onboarding of ducktv to inflight entertainment systems and streaming platforms in Taiwan, and the introduction of Globo’s scripted titles into Mongolia. These moves reflect Thema's intent to diversify distribution models and reach new audiences through digital innovation and targeted content partnerships.

In India, Thema launched 15 new FAST channels on JIO, significantly boosting its digital footprint in one of the world’s fastest-growing media markets. Among the new offerings are Stingray’s music channels, the luxury lifestyle network Luxe.TV, and ducktv, a kids’ programming brand focused on educational content. The launch capitalizes on India’s growing FAST ecosystem, offering viewers curated experiences in music, lifestyle, and children’s entertainment.

Simultaneously, ducktv has expanded its international reach with a foray into inflight entertainment. Beginning in September 2025, popular ducktv series such as "Ducky & Friends," "Toby Mcfly," and "Planet Jumpers" are being featured on West Jet Airlines, Batik Air, and American Airlines, offering young passengers engaging, age-appropriate content during flights. The move aligns with rising demand for tailored inflight family programming and marks ducktv’s first major presence in airline partnerships.

Taiwan has also become a key market for ducktv’s linear and on-demand offerings. The channel is now live on major platforms including Hami Video, MOD, and MyVideo. Programming includes hits like "My Pet Family," "Lola and the Numbers," and "The Shapies," providing a high-definition, educational viewing experience for young audiences in the region.

On the syndication front, Thema has brought Globo’s globally recognized dramas to Mongolia for the first time. The launch began with the premiere of "In Your Place" in May 2025 on the Mongolian National Broadcast. A new agreement with Univision adds three more Globo titles—"Hidden Truths" Season 1, "Doomed," and "Happily Ever After?"—to the Mongolian content slate, totaling 28 episodes. This marks a significant milestone in Thema's collaboration with Latin American content producers to reach Asian audiences.

Thema has also made a strategic push in Macau and Mainland China with 116 hours of Insight TV programming. Highlighted titles include "Paradise Kitchen Bali," "Breakthrough: Women Changing the Game," "Chasing Monsters: El Niño," "Extreme Iceland," and "Street Art Challenge." These shows combine adventure, culture, and social themes, resonating with younger, globally connected viewers.

New content also includes several narrative-led series introduced for APAC buyers. These include "Salon de Holmes," a dramedy about four housewives-turned-sleuths; "Perfect Days (Dias Perfeitos)," a psychological thriller involving obsession and violence; "Anything Goes (Vale Tudo)," a long-running telenovela with 120 episodes that explores intergenerational values and ethics; "Get Rich," a youth-led heist drama centered on institutional corruption; and "Movie Music by Stingray," a linear channel offering classic film soundtracks and orchestral performances.

Thema's recent expansion underscores its strategy of targeting diversified distribution opportunities—from ad-supported streaming and SVOD to inflight and broadcast syndication—while also catering to varied demographics across Asia. With upcoming events scheduled in Seoul, Cannes, and Singapore, Thema is poised to further amplify its reach and continue delivering curated international content tailored to local preferences.
