GMA Network's murder mystery drama "Widows' War" Premieres on Netflix Philippines on April 16.The series stars Queen Bea Alonzo and Goddess Carla Abellana as Samantha/Sam and Georgina/George, respectively.

Filled with twists and turns, "Widows' War" explores the story of two women who are former best friends. After some time apart, they cross paths once more while mourning their husbands, Paco and Basil. Soon, they become suspects in the sudden deaths of their husbands, putting their sanity and reputation at risk.

"Widows' War" is produced by the GMA Entertainment Group, helmed by award-winning directors Zig Dulay and Jerry Lopez-Sineneng. It is based on the original concept by RJ Nuevas and Ken De Leon.

On another note, GMA Network has risen to No. 16 in the Tubular Leadership Worldwide Rankings for February 2025, according to data from global video analytics company Tubular Labs. Previously ranked No. 18, GMA remains the highest-ranking media company in the Entertainment and Media category in Southeast Asia.

In February, GMA's official creator properties across social media platforms generated over five billion video views – over 2.07 billion on Facebook, 2.2 billion on TikTok, and 716 million on YouTube.

APPOINTMENT
GMA Network Vice President for Musical, Variety, Specials, and Alternative Productions for Entertainment Group Gigi Santiago-Lara has been appointed as Philippine Ambassador to the Asian Academy of Creative Arts (AACA) for 2025.

“Gigi Santiago-Lara was accepted by her peers as an Elite Member of the Asian Academy of Creative Arts due to her outstanding career achievements and contribution to the local industry, so we are delighted to welcome her as Ambassador for the Philippines” said AACA Chief Executive Officer Fiona McKay.

As Philippine Ambassador, Lara will serve as a Member of Jury for the AACA Awards and support the Academy in its skills development programs.
