Hat Trick International continues to have global success with both the finished series and format versions of its critically acclaimed series "Rich House Poor House", a co-production by Hat Trick Productions and Emporium Productions.

Following consistent global sales for "Rich House Poor House", the long-standing ratings hit originally commissioned by Channel 5 in the UK, additional episodes for the format have been commissioned by Aito Media for Nelonen in Finland, ProSiebenSat1 Germany, SBS6 Netherlands, and Polsat Poland, increasing format sales to more than 130 hours.

The finished version will be watched in more than 109 countries including ITV International, Asia, Africa, Middle East; Foxtel: Lifestyle, Australia; DPG/Medialaan, Belgium; MTV Oy, Finland; AMC, Hungary; Sky Italia, Italy; SBS6, Netherlands; TVNZ, New Zealand and Polsat, Poland.

A further six episodes of "Rich Holiday Poor Holiday", from the same producers, have been commissioned by Channel 5 for a second series which is already in production.  Sales of the format have been delayed due to travel bans and lockdown following COVID, although the finished series has already been sold to DPG Media/Medialaan Belgium, TVNZ New Zealand, and Polsat Poland.

In each episode of "Rich House Poor House" (33x60’), one family from the richest 10%, another from the poorest 10%, trade homes, budgets, and lives for a week, following each other's spending patterns and weekly schedules.

The UK version of "Rich House Poor House" received wide critical acclaim, winning TVMoment of the Year at the Edinburgh Television Festival and making the Grierson Awardshortlistfor Best Constructed Documentary Series.  Originally produced by Hat Trick Productions for Channel 5, it is now a co-production with Hat Trick’s sister company, Emporium Productions.

"Rich Holiday Poor Holiday" (10x60’) treats two families or groups of friends in each episode to a whole new adventure.  This entertaining and funny series reveals the home truths about the class system as two families exchange holidays, activities, and budgets, to find out if money really does buy happiness on holiday.
