Hat Trick International confirms format sales of its long-running, highly popular entertainment series "Dinner Date", produced by Hat Trick Productions, now in its tenth series and airing on ITVBe in the UK.

A second series of "Dinner Date" format is currently being produced by Seapoint, for ZDF in Germany.  Compliant with the recently agreed COVID-19 health and safety standards between the Federal Ministry for Labour and Social Affairs (BMAS), the Employer’s Liability Insurance Association (BG ETEM), and the German Film and TV Producer’s Association (Produzentenallianz), film and TV production has resumed in Germany.  This new season will bring the total number of episodes commissioned in Germany to 60.

New format deals for "Dinner Date" have also been signed in South Africa, Australia, Finland, and France and the finished programme has sold widely around the world, including SBS Australia, Roku North America, Discovery Benelux, BBC Lifestyle in Poland and Africa, TVNZ New Zealand and Sky Italia Italy, across all media platforms.

Sarah Tong, Director of Sales at Hat Trick International, commented, “Our hard-working entertainment format 'Dinner Date' continues to appeal to audiences around the world, combining cookery and dating, both of which have seen a huge rise in popularity during the lockdown.”

"Dinner Date” (283x60’) is a factual entertainment series that has something for everyone. In each episode, someone is given the chance to find true love over three meals, each cooked by a blind date in their own home.  This is a very simple and highly returnable series that can run as long as there are single people who are hungry.
