Incredible Film has acquired the global distribution rights to the new Dutch-English feature "The North" (113’), which it has sold to distributor Gusto in Benelux and Lime Light Distribution for New Zealand and Australia.

Produced by Tuesday Studio while hiking almost 400 miles and directed by Bart Schrijver ("Human Nature"), "The North" takes place a decade after Chris (Bart Harder) and Lluis (Carles Pulido) became best friends, as they set out on a 600-kilometre hike through the Scottish Highlands. Following the West Highland way and The Cape Wrath Trail, they spend 30 days together in nature – hoping to rekindle their once-powerful friendship. But while Chris remains preoccupied with work and life back at home, Lluis is determined to finish the trail to prove he can do it. The solitude and silence of the Highlands forces them to confront harsh truths about themselves, their friendship, and what it truly means to stand still and listen.

"The North", which has already gained critical acclaim, joins Incredible Film’s growing slate of feature films for the international market.

Daniëlle Raaphorst, CEO of Incredible Film saysWe are delighted to have 'The North' join Incredible Film’s selection of features. It’s rare to come across a film with such exceptional cinematography paired with nuanced storytelling. Bart, the Tuesday Studio team and the entire cast and crew worked tirelessly (surviving in the wilds of the Scottish Highlands for 30 days) to create this film, and we look forward to sharing it around the world.”
