Incredible Film has acquired global distribution rights to the upcoming comedy film "After Party", which will feature on its slate for EFM. "After Party" is coproduced by Sunny Pictures and NL Film, part of the Banijay Group, and is the first feature film to be shot on the Island of Rodrigues, Mauritius. Production is set to begin in September this year.

"After Party" tells the story of a childless couple in their early fifties who have enjoyed a fulfilling lifestyle, centred around their careers, wealth and freedom. As young urban professionals, the world was their oyster. But what happens when health, wealth and youth is no longer on their side? Raymond and Lucy have worked their way up and enjoyed the view from the top – but the idea of their downfall means they have a drastic decision to make.

"The After Party" cast is led by Dutch actor Thomas Acda ("All Stars & Zonen"). The director is Award-winning Jean van de Velde, who wrote and directed the comedy feature and International Emmy Award-winning series "All Stars". Mark Van Eeuwen ("The Forgotten Battle") and Academy-Award nominated Paula Van Der Oest ("The Forgotten Battle") will exec produce from Sunny Pictures.

Daniëlle Raaphorst, CEO of Incredible Film says “We’re excited to be able to unveil this project in time for EFM. 'After Party' has the combination of action and comedy that audiences love, all around the world. Set on the incredible Island of Rodrigues, this international coproduction has all the elements to make it a success for buyers everywhere. As we continue to build on our selection of high-quality films that resonate, it’s great to have 'After Party' on our slate this year, along with the likes of 'Amsterdamned II', 'About Women', 'Red Flags' and 'Love Fail Repeat'.”
