Industry veterans Holly A. Hines and Eric Jarboe launch new film and TV studio

Happy Accidents will specialize in production, development and financing of high-end features, series, documentaries and formats.

Former network and studio head Holly A. Hines and Eric Jarboe, former COO of the Motion Picture Corporation of America (MPCA), announce the launch of their new LA-based film and TV studio Happy Accidents, which will specialize in the production and distribution of films, scripted and unscripted series, documentaries and formats. The studio will work with international partners to develop, finance, and produce high-end original content, and will distribute owned and third-party content globally.

Founder and Co-CEO Holly A. Hines is the executive producer of Netflix’s "Ginny & Georgia", she was behind the first US/Australian co-production "Please Like Me" which was nominated for an International Emmy, as well as "Fortitude for Pivot" (US) and Sky (UK). During his tenure as COO of MPCA, Founder and Co-CEO Eric Jarboe produced over 130 films and 125 episodes of scripted television. As Co-CEOs of the studio, Jarboe and Hines will manage all creative and financial aspects of Happy Accidents and its production of high-end films and series.

Additional, Happy Accidents assembles a world-leading sales team of industry giants, Sarah Coursey, as SVP of International Content and Tyler Massey as SVP of Global Content.

The Happy Accidents SVP team attended MIPTV and announce its first partnerships. The company has picked up international rights to Canada’s Syrup Studios’ slate of content including Christmas movies and mysteries for sales outside of North America.

The studio has also picked up international distribution rights to a slate of non-scripted finished tape and formats from Jenny Daly’s Critical Content, an SK Global company. Happy Accidents will distribute the Critical Content formats of global smash-hit "Catfish" and "Cheap Old House", and the format and finished tape of "Storage Hunters" and morality-based gameshow "A Wicked Offer."
