Turkish production and distribution company Inter Medya announced that three internationally acclaimed TV series from its library, “Scorpion,” “Last Summer” and “The Light of Hope,” have been licensed to TV Pasiones for broadcast in the United States.

Produced by 1441 Productions, “Scorpion” tells the gripping story of a woman's quest for revenge after her life is stolen from her, and her struggle with anger and frustration towards her mother and the world. The series stars Demet Akbağ and Evrim Alasya, who have won critical acclaim for their captivating performances.

Meanwhile, in the story of "Last Summer," idealist prosecutor Selim Kara (Ali Atay) receives an offer too good to refuse from the mob leader Selçuk Taşkın (Arif Pişkin), whom he had incarcerated eight years ago. Selçuk Taşkın wants to testify against his organization in Selim’s case but under one condition: Selim has to protect Selçuk’s son Akgün Gökalp Taşkın. Growing up in a world filled with crime and danger, Akgün, an emotional young man behind his tough guy exterior, finds his situation too difficult to accept.

Lastly, starred by Isabella Damla Guvenilir, “The Light of Hope” bears the signatures of Turkey’s successful production companies Yesil Yapim and Haciyatmaz. The story is about a mother, a father and a child overcoming obstacles, in a constant search for finding each other and becoming a family again.

“Turkish content is reaching a wider audience, becoming accessible to everyone. We are very pleased that our titles are being broadcast on TV Pasiones and watched by their viewers. We are confident that ‘Last Summer,’ ‘Scorpion’ and ‘The Light of Hope’ will find a dedicated following in the United States, just as they have across the globe,”  said Beatriz Cea Okan, VP and Head of Sales and Acquisitions of Inter Medya.
