Turkey’s production and distribution company Inter Medya has licensed its successful drama “The Girl of the Green Valley” to Wapa Televisión in Puerto Rico and Canal 13 in Chile. In fact, the show already debuted in Wapa Televisión with the name “Melissa,” reaching a share of 46% and topping the local rating charts.

Starred by worldwide famous Beren Gökyıldız, “The Girl of the Green Valley” is inspired from the beloved book “Ann of Green Gables,” written by Lucy Maud Montgomery. Produced by Yesil Yapim, this show follows a girl who is left without a mother and father when she was a baby. No one knows the truth about what happened to her family.

“With both its production quality and its story, ‘The Girl of the Green Valley’ is one of the most promising series that we have in our catalog. In addition to being very happy to announce the agreements we have signed, it is a great pleasure for us to see that the series was loved by audiences with its first episode in Puerto Rico. The overseas journey of ‘The Girl of the Green Valley’ started very successfully, and we are sure that this success will continue,”  said Beatriz Cea Okan, VP and Head Of Sales and Acquisitions at Inter Medya.

“We created a very high quality project with very talented people. The biggest reward for us is to see the audience's positive response. Episodes full of excitement and drama await the audience in the upcoming episodes. We are sure that the interest will continue to increase and we are grateful to everyone who contributed to this success and to our audiences,”  added Ozkan Ipek, the producer of “The Girl of the Green Valley.”
