The Creative Diversity Network (CDN), the organization leading efforts to increase diversity on and off screen within the UK’s television industry, announced that Paul Moore, ITV Plc’s Group Communications and Corporate Affairs Director, is to become its new Chair from January 2021. He succeeds Maria Kyriacou, who is stepping down following the end of ViaccomCBS’ tenure and remaining as a CDN Board member.

“As Chair of CDN, I want to help support all of our members - and the wider television production and broadcasting industry – to ensure diversity and inclusion is at the heart of our businesses. Mirroring the diversity of the UK and drawing on the widest possible talent pool will ensure we all create shows which engage, entertain and inform our audiences as we both reflect and shape the world we live in,”  said Paul Moore.

“ITV has been instrumental in shaping CDN’s role and activities since its inception and I’m delighted that Paul will be taking over as Chair to continue our ambitious programme of activities, starting with our fourth Annual Diamond report early next year, alongside our ongoing Doubling Disability initiative. I’d also like to thank Maria for her support as Chair, and particularly through this incredibly difficult year,”  Deborah Williams, Executive Director at CDN, added.
