Viaplay Group held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on May 14. The meeting saw the election of a new Board of Directors and critical financial resolutions, signaling strategic directions for the year ahead. During the meeting, it was resolved that Viaplay Group’s unappropriated earnings are to be carried forward, maintaining a stable financial base for future investments. The AGM decided to discharge the current CEO, Jørgen Madsen Lindemann, and the Board from liability for the 2023 financial year. However, the previous CEO, Anders Jensen, was not discharged from liability, indicating ongoing scrutiny regarding his tenure.

Katarina Bonde, Anna Bäck, Simon Duffy, Erik Forsberg, Andrea Gisle Joosen, Jacques du Puy, Maxime Saada, Didier Stoessel, and Annica Witschard were elected as Board members until the next AGM. Simon Duffy was chosen as the Chair of the Board. This reshuffling reflects Viaplay Group's commitment to robust governance and strategic leadership. "We are confident that this diverse and experienced board will steer Viaplay Group towards continued growth and innovation," stated Viaplay Group.

KPMG AB was re-elected as the auditor until the next AGM, ensuring continuity in the auditing process. The AGM also approved the proposed remuneration for board members and the auditor, reflecting a commitment to transparent and fair compensation practices. Additionally, updated guidelines for the remuneration of senior executives were approved. "These updated guidelines are part of our commitment to align executive compensation with performance and company goals," said Viaplay.

The AGM adopted the procedure for the Nomination Committee to be applied until the next AGM, ensuring a structured approach to future board nominations. The remuneration report for 2023 was also approved, showcasing Viaplay Group's dedication to transparent reporting practices. "Our mission is to entertain millions with locally relevant storytelling, spanning premium live sports, films, series, and music.
