"Dalíland"
Kaleidoscope Home Entertainment to represent three new documentaries in the UK, "RoboDoc - The Creation of RoboCop", "Hollywood Dreams & Nightmares: The Robert Englund Story" and the Sir Ben Kingsley led feature about Salvador Dalí, "Dalíland". All three titles will premiere on the Icon Film Channel.
"Dalíland" makes its debut on September 4th on the Icon Film Channel, with a theatrical release scheduled for October 6th, followed by home entertainment on November 6th. The documentary is set in 1973 and follows a young gallery assistant who goes on a wild adventure behind the scenes as he helps the ageing genius, Salvador Dalí, prepare for a big show in New York. It stars Academy Award®, BAFTA Award and Golden Globe winner, Sir Ben Kingsley ("Schindler’s List") in the title role of Salvador Dalí.
The film was developed and produced by Edward R. Pressman of Pressman Film and David O. Sacks and Daniel Brunt of David O. Sacks Productions. Chris Curling of Zephyr Films and Sam Pressman, VP of production for Pressman Film, also produce.
Documentary series "RoboDoc - The Creation of RoboCop", will premiere on the Icon Film Channel, with one episode released weekly from October 2nd. It will be followed by a DVD & BD Collector’s Edition on December 18th and TVOD/EST from January 1st 2024. Directed by Eastwood Alen and Christopher Griffiths ("Pennywise: The Story of IT"), the film includes brand-new interviews with Director Paul Verhoeven and the original cast.
The series is produced by Michael Perez ("Scream: The Inside Story"), Gary Smart ("Pennywise: The Story of IT", Hank Starrs ("Elstree 1976") along with executive producers John Cashin, Fuad Omar, Gary Collins, Ben KB Ng, Aleksandar Smiljanic, and Sean Tiedeman.
Documentary "Hollywood Dreams & Nightmares: The Robert Englund Story" will also premiere on the Icon Film Channel on October 2nd with DVD, BD Collector’s Edition, TVOD and EST available from November 6th. The title directed by Christopher Griffiths and Gary Smart, tells the story of one of the most revolutionary horror icons. This intimate portrait of the iconic actor’s career captures the man behind the Nightmare On Elm Street franchise.
