Katie den Daas
Katie den Daas has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Global Newsgathering at ABC News. In her new role, she will lead the editorial direction of all domestic and international newsgathering operations. According to the network, den Daas will work closely with bureau chiefs and support correspondents, reporters, and producers during breaking news and daily coverage worldwide. She will ensure coordination across shows, platforms, and affiliates while continuing to oversee multiple news teams.
ABC News president Almin Karamehmedovic said den Daas has proven herself as a strong journalist and leader, with vision and operational expertise that have enhanced the network’s coverage. He noted her ability to guide teams effectively in a rapidly changing news environment.
Den Daas has been with ABC News since 2015 and most recently served as Vice President of Newsgathering. Her responsibilities will expand to include oversight of the network’s bureaus in New York, Los Angeles, and London, as well as ABC NewsOne, ABC Audio, and affiliate services.
