Mako Kids, through its groundbreaking Kids AI initiative, unveiled "Zoe & Olly," an animated series that blends adventure, humor, and thought-provoking exploration of artificial intelligence. Following Zoe, a 10-year-old girl who creates her own AI-powered unicorn robot, the show delves into the ethical implications of AI, making it highly relevant for children and adults alike.
“As AI shifts society from Homo sapiens to ‘Homo digitus’, Zoe & Olly equips kids and adults with the tools to understand these changes and their role in the evolving digital world,” says Irmak Atabek, co-founder of Mako Kids.
Co-founder Evren Yiğit added: “The series encourages both children and adults to go beyond engaging with AI, pushing them to understand its ethical challenges and opportunities and inspiring them to shape the digital future with responsibility, critical thinking, and purpose.”
Developed by a team of diverse backgrounds, "Zoe & Olly" also aims to close the gender gap in STEM by inspiring young girls to engage with science and technology. With three episodes already in development, "Zoe & Olly" is being showcased internationally, with Mako Kids seeking broadcasters and co-production partners to bring this innovative project to global audiences.
