Mediaset Infinity has acquired exclusive licensing rights in Italy for the award-winning Canadian sitcom “Schitt's Creek”. The series is available on Infinity+, a channel of Mediaset Infinity, serving as a promising opportunity for the newly born platform. Following a deal with ITV Studios, which distributes the series globally, Infinity+ has launched exclusively the worldwide critically and audience acclaimed comedy series in the region.
The outlet offers a single web environment that provides free viewing of the best of Mediaset programs and a selection of high-quality on-demand content, specializing in TV series, sports, documentaries, and content for kids.
“Schitt’s Creek” has received many awards, including two Golden Globes for Best Comedy Series and Best Television Actress in a Comedy Series to Catherine O'Hara in 2021. At the 72nd edition of Primetime Emmy Awards, the series won seven comedy categories - including Outstanding Comedy Series - and set a new record by becoming the first comedy to win all four main acting awards in a single year: Eugene Levy, Catherine O'Hara, Dan Levy, and Annie Murphy.
